&lt;p&gt;The reason that the API explorer is a firefox plugin is because it was easier to build. Firefox provides a pretty darn rich environment to code in for doing things like this. Flixo acts just like your code does, meaning that it signs your API requests using OAuth. We built it so that we could test things out here, and figured that it might be useful for folks outside as well. Flixo is very much in Beta (thus the &lt; 1 version numbering) so if you&#039;ve any suggestions or ideas on how to make it better, I&#039;d really appreciate you posting them to the developer forum. (Not that I don&#039;t like your blog, but it&#039;d be easier for others who also have suggestions.)&lt;/p&gt;
