Where Bowers of Flowers Bloom in the Spring

March 5th, 2004

You know things have gotten pretty bad when you find yourself looking forward to a week under the clear blue skies of warm and sunny San Francisco.

SF Wireless Cafes

Now there are jobs in SF!?!?!

February 17th, 2003

I should stop posting, and go do something, but it was a weird long day, and I’m kind of trapped inside. But can I tell you how frustrating this is? Jasmine and I were in San Francisco for a year, and there was nothing remotely resembling work available, now since I moved back east (what 2 months ago?) there have been 3 dream opportunities, and numerous other possiblities, including taking over for a friend at a prominent community site who gave his notice this week. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

In the mean time there is nothing out here.

10 Years of Critical Mass!

September 21st, 2002

Friday, September 25th, in San Francisco, come and celebrate!

I saw this eye catching poster in a small burrito shop in Eureka, on our way to Arcata for the Protest.net retreat. Suddenly I longed to be back in the Bay Area, perhaps back to 1997 when I first lived in SF, and Critical Mass was just that, a mass movement, political, social, spiritual, sweeping the streets of San Francisco. Some of the headiness of those rides is gone, but I’ve found that fun, and community of them is still there, and has transfered itself all over the world. So come out and ride next Friday, and join in. See more by the artist, Mona Caron
