You hear this buzz about how people use Google to track down people from their past. (or to check up on prospective dates) I think the reports of this must be greatly exaggerated. Everyone I knew from before college (or early in college) seems largely transparent to the web, they’ve ghosted through Google’s dragnet as if they never existed, or perhaps as if they are still exist in the years I knew them, inhabitting an earlier, pre-Web time. Do others experience this?
